If you want to know what is important to somebody, all you have to do is look at their day-timer and their checkbook. How do they spend their time, use their talents, or spend their money. It comes down to the 3 “T’s” — Time, Talent, Treasure.

 

Do you have a couple of days? A week? 3 months? The rest of your life? We can use a person like you. We assume you want more than to stand on the sidelines and cheer. You want in. You want to make a difference and impact a life, a family, a community. Ultimately you want to build the Kingdom. So do we! Come join the movement in McDowell County.

 

You may be wondering “What talents do I have that you need at The Community Crossing?” Ironically, we are wondering the same thing. Here is what we do know. You have God-given gifts and talents. We have more needs than we can meet. God challenges us as well as you to be a part of the solution. The bottom line is if you feel you should come then you should come. We need your talent, whatever it is.

 

As much as we would love to have you here, you may not be able to come or do not feel God is leading you here. Yet you have a heart for this cause. Trust and transparency are core values of this ministry. We are committed to being faithful and wise stewards of the gifts God provides through the sacrifice of His people, and thus we have been able to do much with little in one of the poorest counties in the US. The revenue for CCX is supplied by donations and a grant for the Parents as Teachers program. This revenue supports the full-time missionary staff and families, mission facilities, utilities, vehicles, administrative expenses, and program expenses. We keep all donor information strictly confidential.

 

The Parents as Teachers program works with more than 75 families with monthly in-home education sessions, child development assessments, monthly Group Connection gatherings, and special events.
