A day at the gym...
Convention and Visitors Bureau
Leslie Stone of Stone Strategies, LLC facilitated a meeting aimed to provide structure and ideas for the McDowell CVB (Convention and Visitors Bureau) . Betty Jones, Director of the McDowell CVB, invited members of the community to come and offer their input for this initiative. We believe that everyone walked away excited and empowered to showcase the joys
of our county to the world!
The making of a movement.
As representatives of the Community Crossing Inc. Child Passenger Safety Fitting Station, Kyler, Lesa, and Shannon attended the West Virginia Coalfields Highway Safety Program Award Recognition Banquet held at Pipestem Resort State Park. This was such a wonderful opportunity to see a room full of people who desires to keep our state and its citizens safe. Sergeant Adam M. Ballard (West Virginia Highway Safety Program Region Eight)
organized and hosted the event.
Would you prayerfully consider giving
$30, $50 or $100 per month
in support of Community Crossing?
The Community Crossing can do so much more with your help. We are very fortunate to have the Parents As Teachers grant through WV DHHS, however the grant does not cover the cost of our key supportive ministries:
Home repairs to ensure children have a safe environment
Black Diamond boxing club to encourage fitness and discipline in youth
Pickleball a community activity promoting a healthy lifestyle
Support and resources for entrepreneurs in our county
CCX Missional Magazine covering McDowell County in monthly issues
